A leading risk management and futures company is actively seeking an Associate Director of Energy Products located in either New York or Houston.
Responsibilities:
-> Offering in-depth knowledge and understanding of futures, options, and derivatives trading strategies in Energy markets
-> Act as liaison to key industry trade groups and customers. Maintain good relationships with various sales and distribution sales, Energy based futures brokerage companies, and vendors
-> Work with product development group to improve existing products and identify opportunities to expand product suite
-> Scope, design, develop and evaluate a variety of sales initiatives focusing on Energy products, and in particular for Natural Gas and Power
-> Create presentation or education materials ? seminars, whitepaper and tutorials -- targeting the commercials / institutions and individual investors
-> Educate existing and prospective customers about the benefits and opportunities NYMEX products provide to risk managers and traders
-> Assist broker community to help expand our customer base
Requirements:
-> 5 or more years of work experience in the Energy specific derivatives / cash trading and/or risk valuation industry with specific experience in the Energy futures markets
-> In-depth understanding and/or experience in the oil, natural gas, gas and/or power industries a plus, particularly in the Natural Gas and Power Market
-> Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Economics or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, MBA, M.S. or Ph.D.) is preferred
-> Must have strong team work, interpersonal and communication skills
-> Technology: Windows NT, Windows Office Suite: Excel, Word, Power Point
