A process management and automation company in Southern California seeks Field Service Technician.
Responsibilities:
-> Provides field repair and shop service for valves, actuators and general process control instrumentation
-> Provide new installation and start up services for valves, actuators and general process control instrumentation
-> Repairing valves, actuators and instrumentation at customers facilities or in shop
-> New installation and retrofit of valves, actuators and process control instrumentation at customer's facilities
-> Calibration of field instruments such as level, pressure and temperature transmitters
-> Trouble shooting process control equipment, including valves, actuators, field measurement instruments, and final control devices
-> Performing valve/ actuator diagnostics
-> Designing mounting brackets and couplings to connect valves and actuators
-> Prepare written field service reports
-> Conduct customer training
Requirements:
-> 5 or more years experience as a field service technician, instrumentation technician, and/ or, demonstration of general electrical/ mechanical competency
-> A working knowledge of process control
-> Strong customer service skills
-> Ability to read and interpret written work instructions, P&IDs, and technical manuals
-> Strong electrical knowledge including ability to read and understand wiring diagrams - single phase, three phase, AC and DC
-> Strong Mechanical knowledge
-> Practical working knowledge in the calibration of field instruments such as level, pressure and temperature transmitters
-> Ability to understand and use multi-meters, current generators, other electrical test equipment as required
-> Strong knowledge of valve actuators including electric actuators, Pneumatic actuators, hydraulic actuators
-> Be able to lift 50 lbs
-> Be able to travel
