World-class contract manufacturer and an innovative leader in the plastic injection molding and mold building industry based in southern Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Perm Position
Responsibilities:
-> Collaborates with Project Coordinators to provide Quality support, input and documentation into tool building and process development to ensure customer requirements are met once tooling is transferred into manufacturing
-> Provide applicable quality engineering support to the Quality and Production departments by performing / facilitating Quality Engineering techniques such as Process Flow Charting, Process Capability Analysis (CpK), Pareto Analysis, Control Charting, APQP, FMEA, Statistical Acceptance Sampling, Root Cause Analysis, GR&R
-> Conducts periodic Supplier QMS audits. Writes / Distributes Audit Reports; Documents CA/PA in response to QMS nonconformities found
-> Actively participate in department activities and adhere to and enforce policies and procedures related to Quality Engineering
Requirements:
-> BS Degree in Science / Engineering discipline or equivalent manufacturing experience
-> Experience in product and process failure analysis and an understanding of quality techniques such as SPC, TQM, MRB etc
-> Must have demonstrated a record of achievement in problem solving with production teams
-> Must have understanding of quality techniques such as Kaizen and design of experiments etc., Six sigma is a plus
-> Working knowledge of Quality Engineering / 6 Sigma techniques (Process Flow Charting, Process Capability Analysis, CpK, Pareto Analysis, Control Charting, APQP, FMEA, Statistical Acceptance Sampling, Root Cause Analysis, value stream mapping)
