Our client is looking for 2 Business Development Managers with 10+ years of power industry experience. You need at least 5 years of experience in a lead sales role selling turbine controls systems or distributive controls systems (DCS). Any experience with HMI, Diagnostic & Controls, or excitation systems (AVR--automatic voltage regulators) would be helpful. The ideal candidate will have experience developing business for GE, Siemens, ABB, Alstom, Emerson, Honeywell, Foxboro, Invensys or a similar company in their turbine controls division. One position will support developing business in the West Coast and Canada and the other will support the East Coast and South East. You can live anywhere in the USA.
Responsibilities:
-> Penetrating & growing sales for Turbine Controls, DCS, HMI, Diagnostics & Controls, AVR and excitation system components for all different power plant types
-> This position requires significant front line sales efforts at both the plant & utility level
-> Meet quarterly and annual volume and as-sold margin objectives in your territory
-> Negotiate key contracts in cooperation with company contracts and legal
-> Provide input to engineering on desirable and required product features and forecast volumes of manufacturing
Requirements:
-> 10+ years of experience in the power generation industry
-> 5+ years in a lead sales role selling turbine control systems or selling turbine controls systems or distributive controls systems (DCS)
-> You need expertise in as many of the following areas of technology
-> (1) automation ? including plant DCS, machine control & instrumentation
-> (2) plant management ? including plant & dispatch optimization, asset condition monitoring and simulation
-> (3) grid connection & substation engineering ? including isolated phased bus ducts
-> (4) power electronics ? including excitation, automated voltage regulation and reactive power control
-> Travel 75% to the Eastern or Western region
-> You need a BS degree
