Manufacturing client is looking for a Welding Technician/Engineer with 0-5+ years of experience and a BS degree in Welding. You will work out of a boiler manufacturing/fabrication shop located south of Charlotte, NC. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and documenting welding processes and procedures in accordance with the code and customer requirements including but not limited to ASME qualification of welders, welding processes and procedures, and welding technology. Responsibilities:
-> Continuously develop and improve welding processes, procedures, and technology for the Service Center
-> Develop, maintain, and document welding processes and procedures in accordance with the code and customer requirements including but not limited to ASME qualification of welders, welding processes and procedures, and welding technology
-> Ensure qualification of welders, welding processes and procedures, and welding technology
-> Ensure compliance and conformance with codes, regulations, and customer requirements
-> Interact with process planning, engineering, manufacturing, and project execution in welding related issues
-> Administer weld test examinations and assist in upgrading welders? skills as needed
Requirements:
-> Must have a solid foundation in the field of welding processes including ASME pressure part welding
-> Weld overlay experience is considered a plus
-> BS degree in Welding
