Client located in downtown Atlanta has an immediate need for an experienced Professional Structural Engineer to assist with the development and execution of civil / structural construction projects.
Responsibilities:
-> Structural analysis of pipe systems and mechanical systems and reporting
-> Design and modification; sizing, specifying, and selection of mechanical components and equipment
-> System analysis and related design calculation development and review
-> Development of design procedures
-> Maintain compliance with all DOT policies (or similar testing policies), procedures, and guidelines
Requirements:
-> Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural or Civil Engineer
-> 5 years of related structural / mechanical / civil systems, design, and engineering experience
-> Knowledge of design elements including component specification development
-> Piping design experience including material selection and layout, stress modeling and hydraulic analysis
-> Experience performing Concrete Stress Strain Analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
-> Experience with RISA 3D programs
-> Familiar with applicable codes/standards such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI, etc
-> AutoCad experience
