Our client is seeking a Systems Analyst 3 for a Long Term Contract opportunity to provide technical leadership and direction for multiple data center consolidation technical activities in Central, TX.
Responsibilities:
-> Assist in the oversight of technical transformation activities for tasks associated with the consolidation and optimization of 27 data center services, including equipment migration, software upgrades, software licensing, application performance, technology planning and optimization of the IT infrasture disaster recovery services
-> Assist in the transfer of assets, facilities and service delivery responsibilites to the team for all outsourced server computer services associated with the consolidation
-> Review reports, identify opportunities for continuous improvements; develop or enhance server related performance metrics to facilitate evaluation of work activities
-> Assist in forecasting server computer resource requirements; reviews, endorses, forwards approval strategic and operational plans for consolidated server environment
-> Support Transformation Representatives and customers in identifying, escalating and relsolving server related issues in collaboration with the Service Provider
-> Provide overall guidance regarding the technical and operational server computing needs of client customers
-> Architect enterprise solutions where appropriate to facilitate data center consolidation
Requirements:
-> A BS in Computer Science or a related field and at least 10 years experience supporting complex server environments
-> Experience planning and executing consolidation efforts for large complex data center outsourcing or infrastructure consolidation projects
-> Experience implementing or providing oversight for physical-to-virtual server migration, software licensing, application performance and technology optimization
-> Experience migrating application and utility services from a LAN to a WAN to a WAN environment including troubleshooting performance issues through resolution
-> Experience communicating project plans, status, issues and technical information to senior executives and managers
-> PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
-> Experience participating in IT infrastructure planning and plan execution activities in a state agency environment
-> Experience architecting large-scale enterprise solutions
-> Experience implement ITIL processes
-> Must meet the Criminal Justice Information Security Agreement requirements and pass a criminal history background check
