Responsibilities:
-> Help identify and manage risks associated with the refining environment and processes while complying with regulatory requirements and corporate standards
-> Work directly with multiple refinery divisions to develop compliance strategies and procedures, train appropriate personnel on these procedures, and monitor compliance
-> Provide advice and guidance regarding assigned compliance area requirements
-> Assist management to align resources for implementation and sustainment needs
-> Participate in Safety Group and SHE Department meetings
Requirements:
-> BS Degree in chemical or safety engineering
-> 10 years experience in applying petrochemical process safety, safety engineering and safety compliance
-> Regulatory compliance experience with Federal / Local and OSHA and PSM/RMP regulations (Process Safety Management / Risk Management Plan)
-> Extensive knowledge of process design in relation to safety
-> Basic knowledge of facility regulations and required licences with respect to safety, health and environment
-> Advanced computer skills and ability to develop presentations, databases and word documents
