A leading provider of high-quality automotive navigation and control systems has an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Engineer in its Detroit area facility. In this position you will work directly with customer engineers to define specifications for new vehicle infotainment architecture.
Responsibilities:
-> Work directly with customer engineers to define MOST, LIN and GMLAN specifications for new vehicle infotainment architecture
-> Work closely with other local engineers and Japanese engineers to design infotainment modules' software structure
Requirements:
-> Detailed background knowledge of MOST software layers, especially the FBlock architecture, bindings of FBlocks to underlying software using automatic code generation tools
-> Detailed background knowledge of MOST bus debugging using tools such as the Optolyzer family
-> Detailed, hands-on knowledge of GMLAN (GMW3110) is also strongly desired
-> Applicant must have excellent communication skills
-> 3-5 years of hands-on knowledge of MOST and/or GMLAN software design
-> A bachelor's degree in software or electrical engineering or computer science is required
-> Experience with LIN, Elektrobit Guide, and MS Visual Basic/C/C#/C++, and Ethernet programming
-> Experience with oscilloscopes and other bench analysis tools
-> Japanese language skills are also strongly desired, but not required
