IMMEDIATE NEED! Leading global manufacturer seeks a skilled Project Cost Analyst for their northeast Texas office. This is an incredible opportunity with a leading company. The Analyst will be responsible for collecting, maintaining, controlling, and reporting on the status large programs managed by the office and preparing cost proposals. Local Candidates preferred.
Responsibilities:
-> Collect, maintain, control and report on the status of U.S. military and other large programs managed by the office
-> Assisting in the preparation of cost proposals for such programs
-> Implements cost collection and reporting strategies using a combination of Jobscope, Excel and other accounting software tools
-> Provides timely reporting of cost variances (actual versus budget)
-> Provides monthly rolling forecasts of each major contract?s financial performance (P&L, working capital, cash flow)
-> Assist bid managers in the preparation and maintenance of detailed budgets
-> Participate in monthly program reviews
-> Assist in preparation of the 5-year budget by providing sales and direct profit data by program as well as projections of overhead, working capital, CapEx, staffing
-> Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management
Requirements:
-> Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
-> Three (3) to Five (5) years accounting or finance experience
-> Experience with Federal Government, Dept. of Defense, or Military projects
-> Hands-on experience with accounting software programs and Microsoft Office
-> Strong financial analysis, verbal and interpersonal skills
-> Some travel may be required
