A large, well established Engineering Consulting firm is looking to hire several Staff & Sr. Electrical Engineers to join their Telecommunications Engineering Services division. You need 3-10+ years of experience designing various communications & smart grid systems used in the Utility industry. You need a BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering. An FE or EIT is mandatory and PE license would be a huge plus. Salary is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities:
-> Preparing studies and reports, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates for small to large scale communications & smart grid projects for Utility clients
-> Meet regularly with outside clients, not only providing updates, but assessing current needs of the client for additional opportunities
-> You should expect to travel up to 25% of the time
Requirements:
-> 3-10+ years of direct experience planning & designing various communications & smart grid systems used in the Utility industry
-> BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering, a FE or EIT is mandatory and PE license would be a huge plus
-> Design experience in any of the following Smart Grid project areas
-> (1) Communication systems for Substations
-> (2) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
-> (3) Energy Management Systems (EMS)
-> (4) Substation Automation (SA) systems
-> (5) Distribution Automation (DA) systems
-> (6) Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems
-> (7) Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
