Well established Steel forger in eastern area of Pennsylvania needs a Metallurgist with a minimum 3+ years experience in the Fabrication Metals Industry
Responsibilities:
-> Analysis of castings and forgings processes to meet specific application and manufacturing cost criteria
-> Will lead or participate in failure investigations and provide technical consultations to all production areas, quality and customers
-> Will ensure practices are in place to meet specification and customer requirements while assessing process capability and process improvement opportunities
Requirements:
-> B.S. in Materials Science Engineering or Metallurgy
-> 3+ years industrial Metallurgist experience in the metals or power generation industries
-> Knowledgeable of casting, hot rolling, and cold rolling process in Roll mills or steel mills
-> Knowledgeable of ASME Boiler & Pressure Codes, Crack / Failure Analysis, Fracture and Failure Analysis, Heat Treatment, ISO-9001, ASTM and ASNT Codes NDT/NDE
-> Including planning, conducting and tracking trials through the process
-> Excellent computer software and problem solving skills
