Looking for a Technical Service Engineer East of San Francisco in the Insulated Panel Industry.
Responsibilities:
-> Perform all engineering analysis of panels including panel spans, fastener calculations, ceiling seismic calculations and have ability to stamp engineering drawings prepared by Drafting Department -> Assist both internal and external customers regarding all questions involving product capabilities and performance specifications -> Handle building code inquiries, particularly those involving IBC Chapter 26 (Foam Plastics) and Chapter 7 (Wind load analysis), applicable ASTM test standards, AAMA, FM, UL, ULC, ASHRAE, CRRC, Energy Star and Title XXIV etc -> Assist with questions resulting from panel tie-ins to structural components and accessories including floor deflections, curtainwalls, window systems, skylights and fall protection etc -> Communicate regularly with R & D Department, other Tech., Service employees regarding suggested product improvement and all other technical support related issues -> Prepare project submittals -> Determine additional testing requirements to meet market demands or competitor offerings
Requirements:
-> 4-year college degree in structural or civil engineering -> Licensed PE in California -> Minimum of 3-5 years experience working as a PE -> Solid business acumen including the ability to interpret all product tests reports
