International manufacturer has immediate need for an Applications Engineer to bring technical solutions and sell company products to customer's R&D groups; both existing and new customers in an assigned region.
Responsibilities:
-> Sales of sensors and other devices to R&D groups in assigned territory
-> Establish professional technical working relationship on strategic and high potential projects with customers
-> Understand, educate and support customers in their technical development process by using the appropriate internal capabilities and know-how to secure design-ins
-> Share internally all market developments (product needs, product issues, market trends, customer information, competitive information)
-> Support ongoing business (post sales)
Requirements:
-> BS Engineering in electronics
-> Minimum 1 - 3 years experience in the automotive and / or semiconductor business
-> Previous work experience in an international environment and has minimum understanding of cultural differences that influence decision making process
-> Proven technical design-in ability including analysis of schematics and BOM development
-> Prepared to travel regularly with some international travel required
-> Technical expertise in mixed mode IC's, sensors, motor driver, microcontrollers their technologies and applications
-> Must be persuasive in debate and capable of gaining acceptance for proposals, become a clients technical resource, sell with enthusiasm and pride in your company
