Large Global Power Generating Company located in Northern, Illinois is actively looking for a Training Specialist for a 6+ month contract, with utility industry experience, and Instrument Maintenance Field experience.
Responsibilities:
-> Participating in, and conducting training programs in the Instrument Maintenance Field
-> Monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of training on employees during the orientation period and for career development
-> Training on topics such as AOV (Air Operated Valves), Valves and Valve Positioners, Controllers, BOA Connectors, Test Reports, and Entryscan Explosive Detectors
-> Instructing including classroom and performance training aspects such as Dynamic Learning Activities (DLA), Labs, and On-the-Job Training/Task Performance Evaluations (OJT/TPE)
-> Administrating training aspects such as training attendance, training feedback, and related training completion records
Requirements:
-> Individual must possess a two-year technical degree with 8 years utility or related industry experience of which 4 years are in the Instrument Maintenance Field
-> 5 years minimum experience in nuclear power plant operations
-> Previously qualified IM Training Instructor equivalent to INPO ACAD standards (Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Academy Documents)
-> 5 years minimum experience in instructional presentations and training material development
-> Excellent communication and instructional skills
-> Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and planning skills
-> Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
-> Fluent use of electronic systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
