A Renewable Energy company located in the Pittsburgh, PA, which is ranked 8th in the Country for the number of LEED certified buildings, is actively searching for a Vice President of Operations to be responsible for the overall management of the company's landfill gas collection and landfill gas-to-energy operations. Operating projects include landfill gas collection and control systems, pipeline quality methane processing facilities, and electric power generation facilities throughout the United States. Reporting directly to the President and CEO of the company, the Vice President of Operations will be a key part of the Pittsburgh-based senior management team. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
-> Supervise and manage field and plant operations including recruitment and staffing, work control, operational and outage planning and performance improvement
-> Develop and manage annual operating plans and goals including cost monitoring, quarterly projections and capital expenditures
-> Champion plant and operating process improvement and optimization efforts
-> Develop and implement long-term operational planning and projections
-> Develop, organize, and manage key metrics and performance indicators for operational performance tracking
-> Assure operational compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and contractual requirements
-> Support business development, project development, and project management initiatives as required
-> Act as a liaison between the company and its customers and contractual counterparties on operational issues
Requirements:
-> Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent studies
-> 10 or more years of specific experience working with gas processing and power generation equipment (required)
-> 5 or more years of specific experience with landfill gas collection and control operations and landfill gas-to-energy projects (preferred)
-> Experience in, or exposure to, world-class management systems and practices such as six sigma, continuous improvement, etc
-> Demonstrated ability to manage personnel in a team oriented environment
-> Proven project and operations management skills with ability to meet goals and objectives and manage multiple priorities and tasks within tight timelines
-> Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
-> Up to 50% travel as required
