Our client is seeking an experienced Developer Analyst 2 for a six month contract opportunity in Central, TX.
Responsibilities:
-> Participate in the development, documentation and compliance of agency UI standards for internal and external applications
-> Develop and deliver high-resolution wire frames and interactive prototypes
-> Participate in analyzing, designing and prototyping business requirements
-> Responsible for training and mentoring others on UI related methodology and tools
-> Work directly with the technical manager, application architect, web/java developers, business users with high level of professionalism
-> Work on development of the screens and perform other duties when needed or as assigned
Requirements:
-> A BS in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years experience designing and implementing Graphical User Interface in business applications
-> Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based applications
-> Experience in designing both internet and intranet web applications
-> Understanding of HTML/CSS and Web 2.0 principles
-> Understanding of some server side code is needed, such as Classic JSP, ASP
-> Working knowledge of image manipulation/processing software (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Fireworks/Dream Waver)
-> Strong visual design skills (layout, hierarchy, typography, color theory, patterns) and a attention to detail
-> Strong understanding of modern web practices to create an efficient user-experience
-> A good understanding of cross-browser issues and their workarounds
-> Ability to present technical information in a nontechnical manner and provide explanations, as need to both project team and end user
-> PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
-> Experience using DHTML or AJAZ to enhance the user experience
-> Experience in designing web site which is ADA compliant
-> Experience with Welfare Eligibility Business Concepts
-> Experience in Adobe Flex and Action Script
-> Familiarity or knowledge of Rational tools
-> Experience in Human Factor Design
-> Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communications skills
