Manufacturing client is looking for a Director of Engineering to join their company. You need 10-15+ years of engineering experience in the consumer packaged goods industry. You need 5-10+ years of management experience managing a team of Engineers who do both plant-level manufacturing industrial engineering as well as IE's who do more corporate IE work like feasibility studies, supply chain optimization, costing/pricing, etc. You need a BS degree in Engineering and any advanced degrees would be a plus. Responsibilities:
-> Leadership and direction of the Industrial Engineering function and discipline & direct accountability for maintaining the IE skillset
-> Support all supply chain activities, including manufacturing, co-manufacturing, global sourcing, logistics and engineering
-> A top priority will be the optimization of global manufacturing operations
-> Implement key enablers for the supply chain, including management of ongoing initiatives, development and reporting of metrics for performance monitoring, & coordination of business support activities
-> Direct staff performing industrial engineering analysis and project management of supply chain opportunities, decisions, and problem solving
-> Work with operations to identify priority projects by gathering information, analyzing the opportunities & alternatives and assembling appropriate business recommendations & risk assessments
-> Direct capacity analysis and optimization, productivity and efficiency studies, and operational improvement projects
Requirements:
-> 10-15+ years of industrial engineering experience in the consumer packaged goods industry (food & beverage preferred)
-> 5-10+ years of management experience managing a team of Industrial Engineers
-> BS degree in Engineering and any advanced degrees would be a plus
-> Experience managing both plant level manufacturing Industrial Engineers as well as IE's who do more corporate IE work (feasibility studies, supply chain, etc..)
