Long term contract assignment for Structural Engineer in Southeast Georgia with previous Nuclear Power Plant design/retrofit experience To be considered for this position, you must have at least 5 years of experience working with Equipment and Systems, in a nuclear power generating facility. This position is scheduled to last through June of next year.
Responsibilities:
-> Responsibilities with seismic design methodology is desired
-> Responsibilities include a working knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding commercial nuclear power plant design is desired
-> Responsibilities include a working knowledge of OSHA and environmental standards is desired
-> Responsibilities include working efficiently and effectively across organizations, as well strong problem solving, decision making abilities
-> Responsible for understanding of design/design configuration, project management, maintenance and procurement processes associated with large industrial plant equipment
-> Must have the ability to solve problems and make sound engineering judgments based on experience and proper application of good engineering practices
Requirements:
-> BS in Civil Engineering is required
-> Professional Engineering Registration is desired
-> Previous Nuclear Power Plant design/retrofit experience
-> Working knowledge of civil and structural design codes and requirements is required
-> Experience with structural analysis and design software such as GT STRUDL or similar is desired
-> Experience with field evaluation/resolution of steel and concrete structural design issues is desired
-> Experience with piping layout, design, and knowledge of applicable codes and standards is desired
-> Strong oral and written communication skills
