Just south of Boston, a great temp to perm opportunity for a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in Solidworks. Work in a brand new facility that is conveniently located close to all! Company designs custom machinery to fit the needs of high end clientele.
Responsibilities:
-> Act as main point of contact for current projects from conception through completion
-> Create assembly drawings, layouts and 3-D models using Solidworks design software
-> Participate in weekly project reviews with management and team members
-> Share design improvement efforts for products and equipment in the manufacturing phase that address reliability issues, manufacturing problems and cost reduction
-> Possess a 'hands-on' approach / take ownership and accountability as a successful team member
Requirements:
-> 5 Years Solidworks experience
-> 5 years machine design experience
-> Minimum of BSME
-> Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
-> Occasional travel may be required to and from customer site
-> Previous web handling experience such as, paper, carpet, membrane or laser roll is highly desired
-> Experience writing technical manuals is highly desired
