Engineering client is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager for their power generation division in North Carolina. You need a strong background in a metal fabrication shop environment. You will be in charge of the corporate QA effort and program for the services & projects divisions. Excellent opportunity, benefits, relocation and compensation.
Responsibilities:
-> Manage the QA program for both service & capital projects insuring that company, project, customer and industry QA standards are met
-> Manage the Quality Control (QC) personnel located in multiple service shops
-> Manage the Quality Control of external suppliers directly or through a 3rd party QC contractor
-> Lead, manage and develop Quality Assurance department
-> Create, maintain and develop master documents for QA specifications
-> Participate in Root Cause analysis in Projects
Requirements:
-> 10+ years of QA and QC work experience related to engineering, construction and metal fabrication shop areas
-> 3+ years of experience managing a QA/QC group
-> A BS degree in Engineering is preferred, but equivalent experience in welding & metal fabrication may be substituted
-> You need a solid background regarding codes, standards, directives and regulations related to QA/QC efforts and in a metal fabrication shop
