Innovative technology company that designs & integrates voltage regulation systems into existing substations is looking for Embedded Systems/Software Engineers with 5-15+ years of C/C++ and/or UML real time experience. Client offers excellent pay, opportunity for growth, relocation assistance and stock options.
Responsibilities:
-> The Software Engineer''s core responsibilities include development, debugging, & testing of the software implementations of system & control algorithms specified by the lead product designer
-> The Systems Engineer''s core responsibilities include creation of UML system descriptions, hardware platform component integration & testing, and system level guidance for the integration of software component libraries as specified by the lead product designer
-> Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements
-> Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status
-> Your anticipated development activities will include data communications and signal processing in a real-time multiprocessor environment
-> You must be able to manage several concurrent assignments and be productive as a member of a small tightly-coupled team
Requirements:
-> 5-15 years of experience as a Software Engineer skilled in multi-threaded programming & object oriented design in real time multiprocessor environment
-> You need a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university
-> Demonstrable competence in C/C++ (for Software Eng) or UML (for System Eng)
-> Both positions require experience with real-time embedded operating systems
-> Both positions require experience with software component integration in real-time environments
-> The Software Eng needs experience with software debugging tools and techniques
-> The Software Eng needs experience in the implementation of encapsulated communications protocols
-> For the Systems Eng - A working knowledge of signal processing and control system principles is a PLUS
-> For the Systems Eng - A working knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility theory and practice is a PLUS
-> For the Systems Eng - Understanding of communications theory and principles in the systems context is a PLUS
