Large Manufacturing company is looking to hire 2 Process Improvement Engineers (1 Sr. and 1 Mid) with 3-10+ years of manufacturing process experience. You need a BS degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Industrial. Our client prefers candidates with extrusion manufacturing experience. Excellent pay, benefits, & relocation program.
Responsibilities:
-> Act as leader for equipment/process improvement projects utilizing sound project management techniques
-> Perform as a team member on various capital and non-capital plant improvement and process improvement projects
-> Be accountable for the analysis, preparation, implementation and integration of value plans to reduce costs, eliminate bottlenecks & streamline the manufacturing process
-> This position has no direct reports but does provide technical guidance and instruction to technicians and equipment operators
-> Responsible for plant evaluation and application of manufacturing techniques for process improvement, including raw materials and design
-> Establish, implement, and maintain SPC program, including operator training and assistance
-> Apply a variety of continuous improvement techniques including: Design of Experiments, Cycle Time Reduction, Just-in-Time, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, etc
-> Collect, analyze, and report data for achieving process control and improvement
-> Initiate material usage improvement and material cost reduction/substitution in assigned areas
Requirements:
-> 3-10+ years of experience as a Process Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer focused on process improvement projects within the plant
-> Process manufacturing background with extrusion experience is preferred
-> Bachelor degree in engineering required, preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing
-> Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred
-> Experience and ability to interact and communicate with shop floor associates as well as plant staff
-> Results oriented with a demonstrated track record of executing an agenda and making an impact
-> Project Management skills with the proven ability to scope projects, understand business case, technical hurdles, and critical path to success
