Heavy industrial manufacturer is seeking 2 entry level engineers - an Industrial Engineer and Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer for its facility located north of the Providence, RI area. This position holds high visibility within the company and provides the opportunity for substantial career growth. The right candidates will have 1-5 years of hands-on experience working on the floor in a manufacturing setting
Responsibilities:
-> Work on a variety of process improvement and troubleshooting projects
-> Full ownership for leading lean manufacturing projects
-> Champion cost savings and cost reductions through a variety of lean studies and projects
-> Responsible for waste reduction, investigating variances, and optimizing labor costs
-> Develop equipment specs, work closely with vendors, troubleshoot equipment, design processes related to tooling and fixtures and quality improvement
Requirements:
-> BS Degree in either Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
-> 1-5 years of ''hands-on'' experience performing studies and working on process improvement and troubleshooting projects (entry level candidates with strong co-op experience will be considered)
-> Or, 1-5 years experience with hands-on mechanical manufacturing experience
-> Experience with lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, QCO, TPM, etc.
-> Green Belt Certification, preferred
-> Demonstrated experience analyzing operations with stopwatch and video tape techniques
-> Experience with CAD is preferred
