IMMEDIATE NEED for a motivated Maintenance Technician with 4+ years mechanical background performing repair, installation and maintenance of broad array of mechanical components in a power generating, manufacturing or other technical maintenance facility. This is a Direct Hire position for this global energy solutions, services and infrastructure company at their plant in the St Cloud Minnesota area. Responsibilities:
-> Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager responsible for performing precision work with a wide variety of tools and equipment in the repair, overhaul, installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment at a power generating facility
-> Contractor Management duties including coordinating work, ensuring contractor safety rules are met, providing technical support and quality assurance of contractor efforts, obtaining contractor quotes and performing job walks for bids.
-> Maintains a complete log of time, material, and procedures and other information needed for the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
-> Follows safety/environmental rules and regulations. Implements safe working practices and immediately identifies hazards and recommends and/or implements repairs
Requirements:
-> 4+ years relevant mechanical maintenance background broad array of equipment PLUS: power plant or refinery related machinist or technician experience
-> Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of machines, building utilities, HVAC and related equipment, such as pumps, compressors, fans, motors, pneumatics and condensers.
-> HS Diploma or Vocational school related training.
-> PLUS: any welding experience
