A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking a Sr. Nuclear Lean Specialist responsible for supporting the leadership team in developing a detailed Lean activity plan for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant in New Hill, NC. This is a CONTRACT position scheduled to last 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates preferred, but per diem will be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
-> Supporting the leadership team in developing a detailed Lean activity plan for Shearon Harris
-> Ensure standard deployment per the Client''s Performance Excellence guidelines
-> Serve as the expert on all matters of Lean/6 Sigma
-> Mentor Lean Specialists across the site, assisting them with value stream analyses and rapid improvement event implementation
-> Provide direction to Lean event Sponsors and Leaders in Lean activities, ensuring fleet and site Lean plans are implemented
-> Supporting team leaders and sponsors in cost savings and efficiency gain tracking, as well as workforce strategy integration
Requirements:
-> 4 year Bachelors degree in a field related to nuclear power plant operation or a Senior Reactor Operators License required
-> Lean/6sigma black belt required
-> 10 years of nuclear plant experience required
-> Root Cause analysis, Business Planning, and Organizational effectiveness experience required
-> Lean/6sigma master black belt preferred
