Power utility in central Texas is looking for an Electrical Engineer for a direct hire career opportunity. Position focuses on instrumentation, control systems, and electrical systems maintenance and capital projects. Excellent benefits and plant culture. Responsibilities:
-> Perform operations and maintenance engineering services including troubleshooting, evaluation of systems, review of electrical designs and control logic changes for a coal fired power plant
-> Project manage various instrumentation and electrical systems projects
-> Assist coordinators with planning of outage projects, oversee engineering projects and assist craftsmen or supervisors as necessary
Requirements:
-> BS degree in Electrical Engineering
-> 5+ years experience in plant operations and maintenance including distributed control systems (DCS?s), programmable logic controllers (PLC?s), computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS?s, Maximo preferred)
-> Coal fired power plant experience is preferred but other industrial plant experience will be considered
-> Knowledge of computer network hardware, cabling, protocols, peripheral equipment and software including data historians and MS Office products
