Immediate need for an OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR with experience managing and supervising people in a field environment. Requires a minimum of an Associates Degree and a minimum of five (5) years field experience - any industry - including 2 years of supervisory or management experience. This position is located in the Newark, NJ area. Prefer local candidates but will consider possible relocation assistance. Apply Now!
Responsibilities:
-> Will lead the union workforce in executing product movements along with understanding and coordinating all product movements with the control room
-> Responsible for implementing and assuring compliance with company policies, procedures and with governmental regulations, i.e.; EPA , DOT, NJDEP, US Coast Guard, etc.
-> Initiate, lead, and participate in incident investigations and assure the safety of workforce and safekeeping of customer product.
-> Ensure organization is operating in compliance with union and commercial contracts and employees through a defined performance management program
-> Coordinating with Customer Service, Finance, Maintenance, and Engineering departments; i.e., follow up on work orders, work processes, product inventory, invoice approval etc.
Requirements:
-> Requires an Associates degree or higher is desirable with applicable industry experience a plus
-> Experience directing people in the field with varying skills and roles
-> Requires experience in supervising, leadership and personnel management skills with experience training and instructing employees
-> 2 years of supervisory or management experience and the ability to prioritize and manage a diverse number of operational activities and projects
-> Must possess and maintain a valid driver?s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
