Shift Manager with steel melt shop experience including electric arc furnace operations. You will supervise and provide work direction for hourly employees on a rotating shift schedule. Responsibilities:
-> Supervise and provide work direction for hourly employees
-> Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, quality and productivity performance standards in a Melting environment which includes a large arc furnace
-> Utilize a planned approach to continually improve products, processes and services to assure customer satisfaction
-> Decision-making relating to meeting final chemistry quality specifications
Requirements:
-> 3+ years EAF (electric arc furnace) experience
-> 5+ years experience with steelmaking and melting steel (carbon, stainless and electrical steels).
-> 5+ years melt shop experience
-> Supervisory and leadership experience
-> Bachelor?s degree preferred (Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering). Will consider a technical degree with experience
