Interesting PROJECT MANAGER contract opportunity near Nevada City, California. Assignment projected to extend at least until January 2013. Hands on position needing experience in electronics or PCB related manufacturing and materials and supply chain. Local candidates.
Responsibilities:
-> Manage materials, supply chain, and Operations activities for the timely and cost effective introduction of a new PCBA products
-> Perform project management, NPI (prototype and pilot) materials management, and supplier activity management/monitoring to introduce new products into the GV supply chain on schedule particularly at Contract Manufacturers
-> Work closely with engineers to identify critical and long lead parts and to drive and manage the obtaining of these parts to meet schedule demands
-> Work across disciplines and departments introducing a new products including Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Customer Service, etc., and to determine and implement the appropriate manufacturing, test, and supply chain strategies
Requirements:
-> BS Degree in Engineering or other technical degree preferred
-> Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager or related position in an electronics and / or PCB assembly manufacturing environment
-> Must have experience with materials planning and supply change management in support of manufacturing process
-> Need solid experience with Bills of Material and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or similar manufacturing processes
-> Strong Project Management and leadership skills
-> A PLUS to have experience with SAP
-> Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and attention to detail
