Process Controls Engineer - Jewett, TX. Premier steel producer looking for hands-on Controls Engineer with an emphasis on shop floor data collection, reporting and analysis in an industrial environment. Must be versital, reliable, technically competent and have a passion for technology. Generous relocation benefits available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
-> Databases
-> Familiar with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
-> Perform database installation, backup, and restoration
-> Create stored procedures and triggers for optimization and auditing.
-> Install clients and drivers.
-> Set up and manage ODBC data sources
-> Troubleshoot and correct errors. Navigate and find information in existing tables.
-> Ad-hoc queries and routinely generated reporting (SQL).
-> Maintain, debug, rewrite legacy code (Delphi).
-> Create software solutions for current needs (C#).
-> Familiarity with software version control systems (SVN).
-> Interface with PLCs (OPC).
-> Microsoft Office Suite scripting (VBA).
-> Troubleshoot and correct network communication problems.
-> Configure and replace switches.
-> IP Address management (for static IPs).
-> Configure and install wireless access points and bridges.Familiar with protocols that support VLAN
Requirements:
-> Bachelor''s in Electrical Engineering or a 4 year degree
-> Minimum of 5 years of experience working on Level 2 systems in an industrial environment
-> Experience programming in an object oriented language (e.g. C++, C#, etc.) and .NET
-> Experience with configuration, programming, and database administration for Oracle or Microsoft SQL
-> Experience with shop floor data collection, reporting, and analysis in a process industry
