Job Location: Mansfield, MA

Immediate need for a Senior Mechanical Engineer southeast of Boston Massachusetts. Candidate must have 7-10 years expertise in medical industry to design and characterize innovative medical devices, and assist with product testing and validation. Must have BSME with proven product development experience. This is a contract to perm with a well established medical service company.
Responsibilities:
-> Participate in the mechanical design and development of various medical devices
-> Generate solid models, drawings and specifications
-> Prepare and execute characterization and environmental tests to verify the design and performance of the devices
-> Interface with vendors for critical component selection and tool qualification
-> Define and develop processes related to the design, analysis, test, manufacture, quality and productivity
Requirements:
-> B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering along with 7-10 years of product design/development experience
-> Experience with solid modeling software with Solid Works within the medical device industry is required
-> A working understanding of FDA QSR and ISO-13485 principles and demonstrated skill in integrating these into the engineering discipline
-> Experience in the design and development of implantable medical device is highly desired
-> Functions efficiently as both a team member and independently with an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while demonstrating solid verbal communication and written skills
-> Proficient in Microsoft Office a must
