Our client in Southern NH is looking to add an experienced Design Checker to their full time staff. The primary responsibility of the position is to review technical drawings for correct drafting practices, grammatical errors, and proper format. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD experience be detailed orientated and have a minimum of 5 years relavant experience. Call us today to learn more about this great opportunity!
Responsibilities:
-> Must be an expert in drafting standards such as ASME Y14.5-2009 and dimensioning practices - GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
-> Print Checking? Check for proper GD&T, tolerances, drafting standards, grammar, manufacturing standards.
-> Training ? Train the department in updates to standards, common dimensioning practices, GD&T continued training, tolerance stack up.
-> Documentation accuracy ? Review print, ECO, Bill of Materials to insure all three data sets are consistent with the correct information
-> The Checker is the chief reviewer of the drawings being created in the design engineering department; they are solely responsible for the overall quality of the prints being released from the department.
-> Checker is also required to have a solid understanding of basic design for manufacturability as well as manufacturing design standards (standard drill sizes, raw material size standards, and common materials).
Requirements:
-> Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree
-> Strong GD&T experience
-> Strong CAD experience
-> Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
