Job Location: Athens, GA

| |
IMMEDIATE NEED: for a journeyman Maintenance Technician with experience performing maintenance support with the industrial HVAC systems and Controls. This includes maintaining the operational reliability of all equipment associated with the production of steam heating and chilled water cooling. This is 6+ month project assignment for a leading and growing animal health provider in the NE Georgia area. APPLY NOW INTERVIEWS WILL BE SCHEDULED OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS!!!
Responsibilities:
-> Will involve start-up, normal operation, monitoring and shutdown of Plant utility systems and equipment; and the troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair work of all facilities systems. Perform assigned mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or utility related work tasks.
-> Equipment maintained includes but is not limited to boilers, chillers, pumps, control valves, motors, fans and heat exchangers.
-> Performs required tests on boiler water, DI water, closed cooling water, etc. Makes adjustments and adds required chemicals to maintain water systems within operational guidelines
-> Maintain high-tech instrumentation
Requirements:
-> HS Diploma and 4+ years of relevant mechanical work and industrial maintenance experience required.
-> Utility plant steam and chilled water production experience
-> Experience with control systems (AB, PLC, Siemens, TI, Mitsubishi preferred)
-> Refrigerant handling certification and knowledge of plumbing and steam piping standards is a plus
-> Able to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics
-> Willing to work on a rotating shift for 24/7 coverage
-> Computer literate with good keyboarding skills
