Our client is an $800M consumer product manufacturer actively pursuing a Director of Lean Manufacturing and Maintenance and will be based at their corporate headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. This privately held company is debt free and spent nearly $300M in 2012 on new capital equipment. They have experienced six consecutive years of double digit growth and are a trusted name in their respected space. The VP Operations would like to begin the interview process ASAP!
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager:
-> This position will establish and implement lean and six sigma manufacturing principles and operating procedures for the manufacturing department and company
-> Train Plant Managers and other senior staff on standard operating procedures and best practices
-> Responsible for implementing new capital equipment and review industrial engineering efficiencies at the plant level
Requirements for the Maintenance Manager:
-> Bachelor''s Degree is required for consideration. Advanced certification and/or degree is considered a plus (i.e. Six Sigma, Certified Lean Practitioner, MBA, MS, etc)
-> Experience leading Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing training, deployment, and strategy
-> Experience with preventative maintenance
-> Plastic process knowledge
