Our client is an $800M consumer product manufacturer actively pursuing a Director of Lean Manufacturing and Maintenance and will be based at their corporate headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. This privately held company is debt free and spent nearly $300M in 2012 on new capital equipment. They have experienced six consecutive years of double digit growth and are a trusted name in their respected space. The VP Operations would like to begin the interview process ASAP!
Responsibilities:
-> This position will establish and implement lean and six sigma manufacturing principles and operating procedures for the manufacturing department and company
-> Train Plant Managers and senior staff on standard operating procedures and best practices
-> This position will implement new capital equipment and review industrial engineering efficiences at the plant level
Requirements:
-> Bachelors Degree is required for consideration. Advanced degree and/or certifcations is preferred (i.e. Six Sigma, Certified Lean Practitioner, MS, MBA, etc)
-> Candidate should have experience leading Lean Manufacturing training, development, and strategy
-> Experience with preventative maintenance programs
-> Plastics experience is considered a plus
