Our client in Waltham MA is looking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to their staff. This position, now scheduled to be an 6+ month contract, does have the opportunity to go full time for a successful candidate. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years relevant engineering technician experience, be familiar with ISO 9001 and 13485 standards, and have worked in the medical device industry. Candidates must have knowledge and experience with cGMP/SOP practices and strong GD&T skills. Call us today for a chance to work with an established exciting company!
Responsibilities:
-> Generate First Article Inspection reports, performed route cause analysis/generated corrective and preventative action
-> Performing Design of Experiments on behalf of engineer
-> Procurement activities including: supplier communication, conducting final design reviews, and ongoing support through shipment. Preparation of inspection prints, supporting engineering calculations, quality control and testing Familiar with BOM''s and part number structuring
-> Geometric dimensioning & tolerance
-> FDA Regulations, cGMP/SOP practices, ECO''s, OSHA/Safety and Hazmat training and chemical receiving/labeling/storage training
-> Calibration of all equipment in inspection department
-> Fabrication of materials (i.e., process piping, fixtures, meters)
-> Tolerancing to ANSI Y14.5 and IPC-610 and IPC-620 inspection
Requirements:
-> Minimum of 3 years previous experience as an Engineering Tech
-> Previous experience in engineering services environment strongly desired
-> Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 desired
-> Medical device development experience desired
-> Tolerancing to ANSI Y14.5 and IPC-610 and IPC-620 inspection
-> Electrical/Mechanical fixtures, cable/harness and assembly build skills
-> Test and returns analysis and maintain defect tracking Db
-> Blueprints, schematics, assemblies, soldering, cable/harnesses
