HR Business Partner of Global Manufacturing

Job Location: Springfield, MA

Responsible for leading site/country-based HR resources and working in partnership with Business Leaders and other HR leaders to attract, develop and retain talent, manage employee & labor relations and optimize organizational effectiveness. Design & implement HR programs and policies applicable to the sites covered and support implementation of key corporate HR programs and other organizational development strategies to achieve business results. Focus areas include employee/labor relations, recruiting and retention, change management, manager coaching, career development, talent management, internal communications, compliance, external & community relations and regional/local compensation & benefits. Also responsible for defining Business Unit HR strategies and needs based on specific business objectives. Ownership for providing human resource leadership and consultation to global manufacturing and engineering.
  • Provide human resource leadership and consultation to employees & leaders within countries & locations covered
  • Translate business strategy and objectives into HR goals, plans and tactics. Develop and implement HR strategies that effectively achieve business results in a dynamic environment
  • Partner with global business leader on strategic HR/employee matters that impact business performance
  • Lead workforce planning needs analysis and manage subsequent actions recruiting/staffing or restructuring
  • Lead employee/labor relations activity for assigned sites with goal of balancing no workforce disruptions on business commitments with maximum employee engagement. Partner with Business Leaders to ensure that current non-union sites remain non-union.
  • Ensure compliance to all labor-related laws and regulations at the state/province & national levels
  • Develop and implement site/country-specific policies and practices. Monitor adherence to all other Corporate HR policies, practices and procedures.
  • Provide input and feedback to Corporate HR on line management needs and the design of corporate programs and policies
  • Lead the implementation of HR processes and programs, including performance management, career development, learning & development and compensation.
  • Implement change management initiatives, lead organizational design and analysis, identify critical skills and competencies to deliver on business strategies
  • Coach managers and build core leadership capabilities to maximize organizational effectiveness
  • Partner and lead relationships with key external constituencies, e.g., labor, community, government
  • Provide feedback to business leaders and Corporate HR to optimize employee engagement and productivity
  • Advise Manufacturing Leadership and Site senior leaders on strategic HR-related matters
  • Assess/review effectiveness of HR services and programs for each SBU/Function
  • Assist in setting performance management /KPIs for each Business Unit & Sites
Education and Training
  • University degree in Human Resources, Management or business-related field
  • Masters Degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, and minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and influencing across cultures
  • Experience leading cross functional projects and establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior level management
  • Ability to develop relationships and influence senior level business leaders
  • Knowledge of employment law, HR policies and best practices
