Disaster Recovery Analyst
- Develop new DR plan for all critical business systems, tools and policies. Analyst will use current disaster recovery, security and other associated documentation to build new plans/policies.
- Build new audit program related to disaster recovery and regulatory requirements.
- Establish new audit policies and practices to help assess compliance related to industry and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all disaster recovery plans and documentation allow for appropriate response in case of any type of disaster. These plans should/will enable company to resume critical business functions in a predefined time frame and ensure minimal impact on core business functions, data loss, etc.
- Using planed and non-planned audits, assess the technology organizations response to disasters and make appropriate adjustments to plans based on results.
- Deliver audit results to company leadership (in formal and informal presentation- sometimes strictly via documentation and sometimes in presentation.
- Work with various technology groups to develop technical solutions related to DR.
- Build appropriate documentation related to DR and DR technology solutions.
- As the owner of all Disaster Recovery Plans, ensure all documentation is up to date and hold various technology teams accountable to maintain accurate/updated information & data.
- Consult with leadership, business owners and technology teams regarding disaster recovery including documentation, effective planning, tools/technologies and everything else related to disaster recover. As the subject matter expert this Analyst will be the go to person in technology for DR related issue.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- BS in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years of technology experience
- 3+ years of Disaster Recovery/Security/Audit experience
- Experience with various IT Processes including SDLC, Change Mgt, Security etc.
- Healthcare experience preferred including HIPAA knowledge
- Security/Audit related certifications preferred (CISA, CISSP, CIA etc)
