As the Animal Nutrition Technical Services Manager you will be responsible for technical nutritional support to the PerforMix Nutrition field staff and customer service staff. You will work closely with customers and PerforMix departments to provide timely and accurate technical nutritional support. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing you will play a vital role on the PerforMix team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Work with PerforMix Sales and Marketing staff to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies, programs, and tactics using research and data to drive sales.
- Support all field sales staff and customer service staff by:
- Publishing white papers on current animal nutrition topics
- Providing technical nutritional expertise to specific customer animal production opportunities identified by field sales staff
- Timely answers for all incoming animal nutrition questions
- Research and support sales staff with product related complaints from customers
- Develop and maintain key beef, feed, and dairy industry related contacts
- Develop and maintain key university contacts
- Represent PerforMix at appropriate industry related technical meetings and symposia
- Help provide on going competitor analysis in our markets as it relates to product development
- Provide product formulation support
- Provide support to field staff with customer visitations, forage, feed, ingredient, and product sampling plans and results interpretations and plan implementation
- Develop technical product support material
- Develop and present technical product support and research review materials at various customer sites and functions
- Technical product training and research review for PerforMix sales, consulting, and customer service staff
Requirements: Education/Experience: Must have a graduate degree in Animal Science or Ruminant Nutrition. Computer Skills: Strong computer skills needed. Advanced experience and knowledge with ration balancing and formulation software. Must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must have the ability to learn custom software programs. Certificates and Licenses: ARPAS or equivalent
