Our client is a very well known company that designs and manufacturers situational awareness and robotic systems that are used underwater. Much of what they do is classified, so the job description is going to be a little vague.
Due to the growth of their business, they need someone to function a visionary R&D Engineer with the title of "Director of Research and Development". The company has various internal research groups, and the Director of R&D will assemble teams as needed on a project basis from internal resources and will hire outside resources if necessary. As such, they are no formal direct reports.
This job reports directly to the President, who is a very famous scientist.
REQUIREMENTS:
PhD required
EXTREMELY STRONG EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
Experience in robotics.
10 years of R&D achievement
Publications
Ability to obtain security clearance
US Citizenship
DESIRED
Unmanned vehicles
Underwater applications
Submarines
