Our client is a leading global manufacturer of consumer products including plants located in Delaware, Florida and Connecticut. Due to recent acquisitions and their continued organic growth we are seeking a Senior Accountant for their Delaware manufacturing facility. As part of their growing Divisional Accounting Team this newly created position will report to the Controller and will be responsible for:
- Budget accounting including providing Budget and Cost Variance Analysis
- Prepares accounting journal entries including balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
- Sarbanes Oxley SOX compliance and audit support
- Development of Annual Budgets
- Cost control and financial projections
- Financial reporting and financial and cost forecasting
- Tax Accounting and reporting
- Analysis of financial overhead and spending
- Financial analysis and provides insight and interpretation to management and operations
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2 years minimum experience in the area of Accounting
- Manufacturing experience required
- Experience in Cost, budgeting, SOX
- 25% travel to Florida and Connecticut
