LOCATION: Dayton, OH

REPORTS TO: President

COMPENSATION RANGE: $125,000 to $150,000

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: BS in Engineering (minimum)

RELOCATION PACKAGE: Yes

BENEFIT PACKAGE: Yes

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 5-10 + Years

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE: 5+ Years

QUALITY EXPERIENCE: Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kazien, or 5S or similar quality programs would be a solid plus

POSITION SUMMARY:

Engine Engineering Manager

Attention Engineering Managers, we are seeking a Engineering leader, experienced in engine platform development who is interested in being part of an exciting time in our clients history. You will be working with an experienced engineering team developing new technologies that will strengthen the companys position as an industry leader.

MUST HAVE:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required (Master's degree would be a plus) along with 5-10 years of experience in the engine design field.

Experience in the design and validation of internal combustion engine components and systems. Industrial spark-ignited engine experience is strongly desired.

Strong understanding and specialization in internal combustion engine theory.

DFSS and dry fuel engine design experience would be a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as engine subject matter expert for IC Product Development team.

Analyze existing IC engine designs, propose and develop improvements as appropriate, and design cost effective experiments to gather data.

Lead and manage engine design and analysis activities.

Develop project definition, specifications, and guidelines.

Develop and communicate project information to various levels of management as required.

Provide leadership and coaching of cross-functional teams while collaborating with other department managers.

Create and publish internal design standards for IC engine design and application.
