This position will be groomed for corporate promotion to an Executive and succession position within the company. Wil start off in the home office for training of corporate systems and business overview. Will be responsible to eventually oversee all marketing and business development for company.

Location: Work from home position responsible for marketing commercial specialty insurance products in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio
Duration: Full-time position

Position description: The Production Specialist will be involved with varied activities that promote the achievement of the primary goal: the successful growth of our agency.
Key activity areas are:
? Marketing/sales of all of our products/programs to retail producers; both existing customers as well as developing new sources of production.
? Managing the group of producers to achieve the company goals for the assigned territory. Make sure they are happy and taken care of. Monitor their production.
? Get retail producers to submit suitable accounts to our underwriters and follow up with retail agents on select accounts once quote is released. Learn what we need to do to do significant business with the retail agent.
? Education of retail producers on our products, business appetite, systems and policy form differences between our carriers and our competitors. Promote ease of doing business with us.
Qualifications:
? A likeable personality with a desire to learn our business.

? The drive to hunt down new business.
? This is a remote office position and requires an individual who is capable of independent action, is self motivating and will thrive on the ability to self direct daily activities.
? Previous sales background (minimum 3 years) with some commercial auto experience is desired but not required. If the person has the right make-up a strong ability and desire to hunt out new business we will train them in the intricacies of the insurance business.
? Superior communication skills including both written and in person presentations.
? The ability to multi-task and prioritize.
? Familiarity with business software.

Regularly performed functions:
? Maintain, expand and manage relationships with current retail agent sources of production. Identify decision makers and court them for their business.
? Identify new sources of production and develop relationships with key decision makers in those agencies.
? Actively promote the agencys products to new and existing customers to generate qualified new business submissions. Phone calls, written correspondence, power point presentations, group meetings and other regular personal visits. Significant regular travel is required.
? Manage the submission of accounts to our in-house underwriters and help them negotiate with retail producers to forge winning proposals. Follow up on fleet quotes.
? Educate retail producers on specific features of the commercial auto programs offered by Interstate. Get them to sell beyond price sell coverage.
? Work with senior management to establish production objectives for assigned retail producers.
? Monitor performance of the retail producer group and provide feedback to them and Agency Managers
