Our client is a a World Class manufacturer of Tractors, Construction Equipment, and Turf products with a nationwide dealer network of over 1000. Their corporate culture is people-friendly with a reputation of low turnover, upward mobility, steady sales growth, and strong financial stability. They plan to double their sales in North America over the next 5-7 years.
Brief Overview of Job:
Oversee credit analyst staff responsible for decision of retail credit applications from commercial and consumer applicants. Serve as first line of appeal for dealers on declined applications. Identify Industry trends and notify upper management of any adverse implications in daily operations. The workload is seasonal with a large variation between the seasonal low (less than 200 applications daily) and seasonal high (1,000+ applications daily).
Outline of Specific Job Duties:
- Maximize loan approvals within acceptable risk levels.
- Make credit decisions within determined credit authority.
- Review declined applications and respond to dealer appeals.
- Mentor/train, coach and counsel staff to optimize performance.
- Recruit strong performers to improve efficiency and productivity of department.
- Partner with HR and Department Manager on disciplinary actions and termination procedures.
- Improve, recommend and implement process improvements.
- Exercise due diligence to identify any fraudulent activity to reduce unnecessary losses.
- Gather audit data for SOX audits and complete monthly internal audit review.
- Daily and monthly unit results reporting to management.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree. Prefer major in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- 7+ years of commercial credit experience.
- 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
- Strong financial statement analytical skills - calculate critical ratios, identify past trends, project future performance.
- Both consumer and commercial loan contract experienced is desired.
- Fully functional computer skills in step with todays computer intensive work environment.
