A MEDICAL SPECIALTY GROUP is seeking a FULL-TIME LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE to add to it's health care team.

* COMPENSATION ranges from $13.00 to $15.00 per hour based on experience.

* JOB TYPE is Temporary to Permanent/Retained Employee, Full-time.

* WORK SCHEDULE is Monday throughFriday. Shift to vary, as needed: 8am to 4:30pm, 8:30am to 5pm, 9:00am to 5:30pm.

* EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: NYS LPN license. CPR. Previous medical office or hospital (acute care) experience is strongly preferred.

* JOB DESCRIPTION: (Other duties will be assigned):
Evaluate, plan, and administer nursing care to patients.
Phone in prescriptions, new & refills.
Perform occasional telephone triage.
Assist in performing diagnostic tests, analyze results, operate medical machinery, administer treatment and medications, and help with patient follow-up.
Monitor and record patient condition and notify provider when appropriate.
Advise & provide support to patients family members.
Record patients medical histories and symptoms in patients medical records.
Have a working knowledge of OSHA Rules and Regulations concerning Universal Precautions. Be able to perform proper procedures to protect against transmitting or contracting diseases.
PREPARE PATIENTS emotionally and physically for EXAMINATION.
PREPARE PATIENTS' CHARTS
Interview patient and record information in the patient's chart.
Measure VITAL SIGNS such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height and record the results.
ADMINISTER AN EKG (Electrocardiogram) ON A PATIENT. THIS INCLUDES PREPARING THE PATIENT AND USE OF THE EKG MACHINE.
Inventory and order medical supplies and materials.
PREPARE treatment rooms for EXAMINATION of patient.
Have a working knowledge of MEDICAL TERMS AND HOW THEY RELATE TO THE ANATOMY OF THE BODY.
Have a working knowledge of OSHA RULES AND REGULATIONS concerning Universal Precautions. Be able to perform PROPER PROCEDURES TO PROTECT AGAINST TRANSMITTING OR CONTRACTING DISEASES.
Be aware of Patient's Rights, HIPAA , HAZCOM procedures, and National Patient Safety goals (JCAHO).
Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments.
