Job Location: Syracuse, NY
HEALTH CARE practice is seeking CCS / CERTIFIED CODING SPECIALIST with a minimum of one (1) year experience inpatient coding experience.

* COMPENSATION ranges from $16-26 per hour BOE.

* JOB TYPE is Temporary to Permanent Employee, Full-time.

* WORK SCHEDULE is Monday through Friday, flexible day hours, preferably between 8am and 5pm. Forty (40) hour work week.

* EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have a minimum of one (1) year of inpatient medical coding experience. Acceptable education and credentialing for this opportunity is as follows: CCS / Certified Coding Specialist. AHIMA / American Health Information Management Assoc. Certification is required.


* JOB DESCRIPTION:
Classify medical data from patient records.
Review patients records and assign numeric codes for each diagnosis and procedure
Possess expertise in the ICD-9-CM and CPT coding systems.
Secure
coded data and submit to Private Insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid for reimbursement of expenses.
Demonstrate coding proficiency of both inpatient and outpatient records.
