Electrical Projects Engineering Leader
Job Location: Atlanta, GA
Salary: 80000 - 100000
The Electrical Project Engineer serves as the key resource in-house expert on all electrical systems within the Gainesville Factory. Design, supervise oversee electrical projects undertaken by the Engineering Department - execute capital projects as required by the Engineering Services Leader. Serve as the in-house expert or key resource on all electrical systems at the Gainesville Factory. Provide technical support in resolving electrical issues - assistance in problem solving, troubleshooting as necessary to resolve problems which extend beyond the resources of the factorys Electrical Department. Execute the entire PAR process for all assigned projects to meet established reporting requirements - monitor and justify expenses for each project. Provide the equipment related expertise and sound technical knowledge associated with an Electrical Engineer. Comprehend all electrical processes throughout the factory complex. Provide safe and efficient distribution of electrical power - ensure latest proactive maintenance technologies are applied for condition monitoring. Conduct Electrical Power Distribution Survey - know current capacity, load future requirements. Update maintain drawings - convert as-builts to final format. Stay current with National Local Electrical Codes and apply, as needed, to bring Factory into compliance. Work closely with other project managers in designing electrical systems for all project works - not strictly related to electrical. Provide assistance to Project Leaders in the preparation of electrical job scope development - reviews and approves PARs. Implement latest technologies, promote innovation identify opportunities for improvement and has input in standardization of electrical controls, programs, components, systems, etc.
Assist the Engineering Services Leader and the Engineering Services Coordinator in the setting of the annual capital and operating budgets for assigned departments and control the costs within the agreed budgets.
Requirements:
Solid mentorship skills required - ability to teach as well as learn from others
Ability to communicate clearly with factory leadership and management, including the ability to re-state key points of discussion to ensure clarity of communication
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Proven expert possess in depth experience in troubleshooting problem solving of simplistic as well as complex Electrical Systems, Processes and PLC Programs
Detail oriented and knowledgeable in production operations, quality standards, safety policies, GMPs, OSHA regulations, NEC NFPA codes
In depth knowledge and experience in PLC Programming
In depth knowledge of high voltage power distribution systems/circuits
In depth knowledge of motor control circuits
Ability to lead projects and project teams to gather requirements, scope, design solutions, implement solutions on time and within budgetary spending
Experience in managing and leading projects and project teams through project management methodologies
Solid computer skills required - proficient in all MicroSoft Office applications
In depth knowledge of Maintenance Planning Scheduling processes and principles
Engineering Degree, BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
