Controls Specialist

Job Location: Richfield, ID

Salary: 70000 - 75000

Description: Primary responsibilities: Create, modify, update and optimize PLC programs Create, modify, update HMI application Install, maintain, repair, and replace PLC processors and associated support devices Install, maintain, upgrade HMI software Install, repair, replace, and modify electrical equipment up to and including 480VAC Provide troubleshooting assistance on process, control, and electrical equipment. Maintain, modify, and update plant drawings, including civil, mechanical, electrical, control, and PID drawings Perform calibrations on all process critical instrumentation as required Proactive in providing solutions to plant operation improvements Manage and oversee electrical/control systems of Capital Projects. Ensure plant modifications, upgrades, and new installations comply with Glanbia Standards. On Call 24/7 to provide assistance to plant problems Perform the duties of a Journeyman Electrician Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager Provide training and direction of mechanics duties related to electrical/control systems Required Skills: Requires an Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance Engineering or equivalent Minimum of three years experience in electrical and control systems Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, ISA, and ANSI requirements Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot using electrical schematics, one-lines, and PID drawings Ability to perform analytical tasks of test data Ability to perform the duties of project management and execute multiple projects simultaneously Ability to apply principles of logical and/or scientific thinking to the resolution of problems Must possess good interpersonal skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to develop, implement, follow, maintain and improve processes, practices and standards Possess project/time management skills Display individual leadership skills, resolve problems/conflicts, and mentor/coach as needed
