Control/Systems Software Engineer
Job Location: Santa Clara, CA
Salary: 110000 - 140000
The company manufactures unique optical Measurement Control Solutions for life sciences and biotech. The initial focus is on improving Control Measurement in the bioprocess applications of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

D E S C R I P T I O N
We are seeking a motivated engineer that understands control theory and can code appropriate solutions. Qualified candidates will perform a large subset of the following tasks:
1.Design and analyze PID loops
2.Characterize and tune loops
3.Work with associated hardware to test designs and code
4.Design next generation control systems
The candidate will have the ability to execute research and development plans, and to evaluate the performance of new technologies.
R E Q U I R E M E N T S
B.S. or M.S. in electrical engineering, computer science, or applied mathematics and a minimum of 5 years work experience
Must be fluent in C, or C++, and/or C/.NET
Ability with mathematical programming ( e.g.: MatLab/Simulink or Mathematica)
Understanding of control theory and PID loop design and tuning
Familiarity with adaptive filtering and advanced controls desired
Basic circuit design and prototyping experience
Ability to self-manage and succeed at an individual level as well as work cooperatively in a team environment
